Day 2 of Paris
After sleeping in a bit I used the rest of the morning to do some laundry. It was expensive, but nice to have a new load of clean clothes to wear. After that, I went to Sacre Couer Basilica and the Montmarte area. It was beautiful and had a great view of Paris as well. The Place du Tertre, were all the impressionist artists used to live, study and work on their masterpieces, was jam-packed with artists and tourists viewing them. There was also a Dali museum with mostly sculptures, but I didn't go in because I have to pick and choose which attractions to pay for wisely. I didn't spend too much time there, and would have liked to come back at night, but didn't have enough time. I had a crepe and a caricature drawn and continued walking around.
I ended up walking really far in the opposite direction, so I took a break and had a nice salad and found the train back to the main tourist area. The trains are a bit difficult to navigate, everything is in French and it is definitely not as organized and easy to follow as the system in Seoul. It definitely makes me appreciate the public transit there even more than I already do! I met a nice couple who were also going in the same direction and we took the train together. We are hoping to meet again while in Amsterdam, but working out schedules is difficult sometimes.
I ended up making my way to the Hotel d'Invalides as well as the Eiffel tower again. Paris really is beautiful at night!
